Maybe you’ve heard of this channel before, or maybe it’s new to you:

The idea behind this series is to showcase Hispanic creators, but I couldn’t leave out someone who was a real titan in filmmaking, video editing, and VFX until closing down a couple of years ago. Starting 2026, it feels right to revisit one of the biggest names and learn from one of the greatest.

Back in 2014, Belgian filmmaker Jordy Vandeput launched Cinecom.net as a personal project. What began as a one-man effort soon evolved into a full team, later known as the Cinecom Crew.

Currently, the channel has 2.71M subscribers, 936 videos, and around 383M views.

The channel takes a practical yet creative approach, teaching how to create cinematic effects with resources anyone can access. That’s why it has become such a valuable guide for students and independent creators who want to learn and grow in filmmaking

Beyond the channel, Cinecom also runs a dedicated page (https://www.cinecom.net/tutorials/), where they regularly share lessons on filmmaking and AI. The platform offers courses centered on Adobe tools like Premiere and After Effects, while also expanding into areas such as YouTube strategy and Unreal Engine.

What truly matters isn’t following the tutorial step by step. After all, the video is seven years old, and the tools have evolved since then. Yet its value remains intact: it’s about grasping the reasoning behind how they approached the challenge back then.If you can improve the process, great—and if the solution feels trickier now, it’s a good chance to think about how you’d edit it with today’s tools.

Now let’s get to the heart of the matter, the reason why I consider him one of the titans on YouTube for learning about filmmaking:

BILLIE EILISH - Cry BLACK TEARS

3 SICKO EFFECTS from TRAVIS SCOTT ft. DRAKE Part 1

What I really loved about their videos was when they recreated effects from music clips. At first, most of us learned by copying—trying out lighting setups, composition tricks, and other details. That process slowly unlocked our creativity, not just in filming or photography, but in shaping shots to match our own taste. Maybe you’d want the image warmer, cooler, or even in black and white. These kinds of tutorials helped us figure out how to place objects, which lamps to use, where to put them, and of course how to finish the look in post-production.

3D TRACK YOUR CAMERA MOVEMENT (13 Reasons Why)

Many of the effects we see trending today were actually made years ago, with software that wasn’t as advanced as what we have now thanks to AI and specialized hardware. One of my favorite examples is 3D tracking. It proves that you don’t need the newest PC or the most expensive camera to make these kinds of videos—you just need creativity and the right approach.

As a conclusion, keep in mind that the only real limit is our creativity.

There are no impossibles—only challenges waiting for us to discover the way to overcome them.
